4. Work on vocabulary words. SAT format. (if time permits)

1. Distribute Shakespearean terms handout and question guide for Act I.
2. Read Act I. Answer questions and discuss.

Wednesday
1. Read Act I, cont. Answer questions and discuss.
2. Students read and act out parts with shared lines.

Thursday
1. Read Act I, cont. Answer questions and discuss.
2. Distribute Exercise #9 – Figurative Language. Students work on the exercise and discuss.

Friday
1. Exercise #3 – Proofreading
2. Exercise #4 – Simple, Compound, Complex

4th cycle – Twelfth Night, Or What You Will by William Shakespeare and some poetry
5th cycle – Great Expectations by Charles Dickens
6th cycle – Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare and some poetry

Materials Needed:
1½ “-2” binder or notebook with 5 dividers (grammar, literature, quizzes and tests, vocabulary, handouts )
Pen, pencil, and paper
Post Its

Rules:
1. Be ON TIME.
2. Come prepared.
3. Be on your best behavior.
4. Refer to year-round/complete syllabus posted on the blog.

We will read Twelfth Night or What You Will by William Shakespeare in January,2010. I suggest you get your own copy of the Folger Library version of the book so you can annotate your book at will.
