Mrs. Terry in this video it says that Charles Dickens spent some of his life studying Edwin Drood and some of Dickens stories are about Droods thoughts and feeling about life.
Charles Dickens died before he could finish the Mystery of Edwin Drood. I also thought it was interesting how Charles Dickens had any kind of impact on the removal of debtor's prisons and public executions in Britain.
Charles Dickens influenced Brittian greatly. When you see poor children treated with respect this is his work. This clip also shows how many things just vanish into thin air like one day its there and one day you never hear of it being done again. An example of that would be hainging.
Due to his books highlighting prisons and such, Dickens was able to get the horrors of the debtors prisons out into the mainstream (and more importantly, make the rich people see what happened). He also wasn't able to finish his last book on account of being dead. I think I heard somewhere that he died the day Haley's comet flew by.
I was unaware of Charles dickens another book after great exception and in this video it talks about how he approached to introduce another book, but unfortunately he couldn't due to his death.
I dont know how Edwinis but it is cool how Dickens wanted to find out how he died. I dont know what debors prison is but i wonder how he knew something about them even when he died.
Dickens wrote about how horrible debtors prison was. He probably wrote about it in alot of his books because he was directly effected by it, since his dad was in prison for dept.
I never knew that Dickens had an effect on debtor's prison.
