  7. I had never related Great Expectations to having any relation to prison besides his benifactor. I will keep this in mind as I finish the book.

  8. Dickens often used prisons in most of his works. Whether in setting or in metaphor, the prisons symbolized a great obstacle his characters had to overcome; possibly an excerpt from his own childhood. Maybe the reason he used prisons a lot was because he knew first hand how dreadful they could be. Putting his characters in that situation, it would be easy for him to describe their feelings.

  9. IN this video, dickens shows his how he really is. He uses his heart and feelings in his books and his fans follow him.He usually use prison in most films though to express problem that he had to work through.

  12. I knew Dickens had a great imagination, but i did not know it revoled around a prison. That is very interesting to find ideas abouta prison. Most of his books al have prisons in them and in Great Expectations it talks about the hulks.
